Teens Musical Theatre
Are you obsessed with musical theatre? Do you listen to showtunes all day – in your room, on the bus, when you study, with your friends, in the shower, in your sleep? This weekly musical theatre class is for performers in their teens who live and breathe musicals, and want to develop their skills in an uplifting and focused environment.
This class is for teens who live and breathe musicals. Whether you’re brand new to the stage or have been performing since you could walk: This is where you’ll grow your skills, make amazing friends, and feel truly seen for the creative, passionate person you are.
Each week, you’ll practice singing, dancing, and acting in a way that’s both challenging and fun.
You’ll get to explore iconic Broadway tunes, experiment with new choreography, and discover how to bring stories to life in a way that feels authentic and unselfconscious.
You’ll be surrounded by teens who share your love of theatre, who understand your random outbursts of showtunes, and who want to create incredible performances right alongside you.
It’s not about being perfect. It’s about learning your craft, releasing your creativity, and having a blast while you do it.
And if you’re the kind of person who dreams of playing a lead role or nailing that epic belt, you’ll find the encouragement and coaching you need to make it happen.
In Teens Musical Theatre Class we focus on Connection First.
Each session starts with a circle where we connect, share a highlight from the week, and laugh and cheer one another on in the latest episode of your life. Friendships bloom quickly, and mutual kindness, trust and respect are built session by session.
Our philosophy for all of our classes is to Learn By Doing. “You learn to do this thing… by doing the thing!”
You’ll explore your craft through fun projects that will extend your strengths and develop your skills in areas of musical theatre that are new for you.
We show our work. We share our messy first drafts. We embrace imperfection and inspire one another by letting people see our works in progress, not just our highlight reel.
This class is not about becoming perfect performing robots or avoiding mistakes at all costs.
Instead we celebrate the joy and playfulness and humanity in bringing all of yourself to your performing. And as a result we see much faster improvement, with more enjoyment along the way.
This class builds your confidence in being completely yourself as you move through your performing arts journey.
“Each week I leave class feeling excited for the next week. It doesn’t matter if we’ll be singing, acting, or dancing, these musical theatre classes always make it fun!”
- Addison
